*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 626967 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/626967
** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel The problem was with video flash in firefox. I have left it in full screen for a few minutes and screensaver was launched. After pressing a key a could see the stopped frame from flash video, but sound was going well. I was not able to exit that full screen or to stop the flash somehow. Moving to a screen with Ctr+Alt+1 and killing all firefox processes I was able only to stop also the sound but the frame from flash video remained on screen. Also, over that video frame appeared the Xubuntu buttons in the up-right corner related to battery status, wifi and sound volume but they was not active. Ihad to move back to 1st screen in terminal and to shutdown the machine. To mention that I am using a Xubuntu running from USB flash with 2GB persistent storage casper-rw. + + --- + Time: 1290322849 s 200646 us + PCI ID: 0x0046 + EIR: 0x00000000 + PGTBL_ER: 0x00000000 + INSTPM: 0x00000000 + IPEIR: 0x00000000 + IPEHR: 0x01820000 + INSTDONE: 0xfffffffe + ACTHD: 0x0d01ccb8 + INSTPS: 0x00000000 + INSTDONE1: 0xbfffffff + busy: CS + seqno: 0x0001696f + Buffers [3]: + 02960000 5242880 00000002 00000002 00016970 P X dirty (name: 3) (fence: 0) + 0e017000 5242880 00000002 00000002 00016970 X dirty (name: 4) + 09e28000 16384 00000048 00000000 00016970 dirty + batchbuffer at 0x09e28000: + 0x09e28000: 0x09000000: MI_LOAD_SCAN_LINES_INCL + 0x09e28004: 0x00000300: dword 1 + 0x09e28008: 0x09000000: MI_LOAD_SCAN_LINES_INCL + 0x09e2800c: 0x00000300: dword 1 + 0x09e28010: 0x01820000: MI_WAIT_FOR_EVENT + 0x09e28014: 0x54f08806: XY_SRC_COPY_BLT (rgb enabled, alpha enabled, src tile 1, dst tile 1) + 0x09e28018: 0x03cc0580: format 8888, dst pitch 1408, clipping disabled + 0x09e2801c: 0x00000000: dst (0,0) + 0x09e28020: 0x03000556: dst (1366,768) + 0x09e28024: 0x02960000: dst offset 0x02960000 + 0x09e28028: 0x00000000: src (0,0) + 0x09e2802c: 0x00000580: src pitch 1408 + 0x09e28030: 0x0e017000: src offset 0x0e017000 + 0x09e28034: 0x79060000: 3DSTATE_POLY_STIPPLE_OFFSET + 0x09e28038: 0x00000000: dword 1 + 0x09e2803c: 0x02000000: MI_FLUSH + 0x09e28040: 0x05000000: MI_BATCH_BUFFER_END + --- ProblemType: Crash DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.12.0-1ubuntu5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.33-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic i686 Architecture: i386 Chipset: arrandale DRM.card0.DisplayPort.1: - status: connected - enabled: enabled - dpms: On - modes: 1366x768 1366x768 - edid-base64: AP///////wBMo0I2AAAAAAASAQSVHxF4CoWVmVdPjyYhUFQAAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBEhtWclAADDAwICUANa4QAAAZDBJWclAADDAwICUANa4QAAAZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgAMQvILPGkiEiRuAAAAALE= + status: connected + enabled: enabled + dpms: On + modes: 1366x768 1366x768 + edid-base64: AP///////wBMo0I2AAAAAAASAQSVHxF4CoWVmVdPjyYhUFQAAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBEhtWclAADDAwICUANa4QAAAZDBJWclAADDAwICUANa4QAAAZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgAMQvILPGkiEiRuAAAAALE= DRM.card0.DisplayPort.2: - status: disconnected - enabled: disabled - dpms: On - modes: - edid-base64: + status: disconnected + enabled: disabled + dpms: On + modes: + edid-base64: DRM.card0.DisplayPort.3: - status: disconnected - enabled: disabled - dpms: On - modes: - edid-base64: + status: disconnected + enabled: disabled + dpms: On + modes: + edid-base64: DRM.card0.DisplayPort.4: - status: disconnected - enabled: disabled - dpms: On - modes: - edid-base64: + status: disconnected + enabled: disabled + dpms: On + modes: + edid-base64: DRM.card0.HDMI_Type_A.1: - status: disconnected - enabled: disabled - dpms: On - modes: - edid-base64: + status: disconnected + enabled: disabled + dpms: On + modes: + edid-base64: DRM.card0.HDMI_Type_A.2: - status: disconnected - enabled: disabled - dpms: On - modes: - edid-base64: + status: disconnected + enabled: disabled + dpms: On + modes: + edid-base64: DRM.card0.HDMI_Type_A.3: - status: disconnected - enabled: disabled - dpms: On - modes: - edid-base64: + status: disconnected + enabled: disabled + dpms: On + modes: + edid-base64: DRM.card0.VGA.1: - status: disconnected - enabled: disabled - dpms: On - modes: - edid-base64: + status: disconnected + enabled: disabled + dpms: On + modes: + edid-base64: Date: Sun Nov 21 07:00:59 2010 DumpSignature: 80dd7aa2 ExecutablePath: /usr/share/apport/apport-gpu-error-intel.py InterpreterPath: /usr/bin/python2.6 LiveMediaBuild: Xubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101008.1) MachineType: Hewlett-Packard HP EliteBook 8440p PccardctlIdent: - Socket 0: - product info: "RICOH", "Bay8Controller", "", "" - manfid: 0x0000, 0x0000 - function: 254 (unknown) + Socket 0: + product info: "RICOH", "Bay8Controller", "", "" + manfid: 0x0000, 0x0000 + function: 254 (unknown) PccardctlStatus: - Socket 0: - 3.3V 16-bit PC Card - Subdevice 0 (function 0) bound to driver "pata_pcmcia" + Socket 0: + 3.3V 16-bit PC Card + Subdevice 0 (function 0) bound to driver "pata_pcmcia" ProcCmdLine: noprompt cdrom-detect/try-usb=true file=/cdrom/preseed/xhostname.seed boot=casper persistent initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- ProcCmdline: /usr/bin/python /usr/share/apport/apport-gpu-error-intel.py ProcEnviron: - + SourcePackage: xserver-xorg-video-intel Title: [arrandale] GPU lockup 80dd7aa2 UserGroups: - + dmi.bios.date: 09/28/2010 dmi.bios.vendor: Hewlett-Packard dmi.bios.version: 68CCU Ver.
