No, that isn't what I am trying to do. I was trying to open a new
firefox session. Draycen, the questions you ask are already detailed in
comments and in the original bug description, yet you marked this as
Incomplete. It's important to read carefully so bugs don't get an
improper status.

As it stands, this bug is still not fixed and I have installed firefox
version 3.6.12+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.10.1.

I run firefox, then I run firefox -no-remote and I get the message:
"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you 
must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
