kernel 2.6.35-23-generic
Steps:
Create an FTP server connection {with login} with "Remote Connections" dialog.
Check "Use Gnome Keyring Manager"
Click "Connect"
Unchecking keyring manager fixes the thing and I'm able to connect.
Note: I didn't setup the keyring manager or change it's settings, it's
virtually a new installation.
