Public bug reported: Binary package hint: bluez
While I can use this mouse on other installations, I can't pair it on a new Kubuntu 10.10 machine. This is the output of `hcidump -X` when trying to add the mouse through bluedevil: < HCI Command: Periodic Inquiry Mode (0x01|0x0003) plen 9 0000: 18 00 10 00 33 8b 9e 08 00 ....3.... > HCI Event: Command Complete (0x0e) plen 4 0000: 01 03 04 00 .... > HCI Event: Inquiry Result with RSSI (0x22) plen 15 0000: 01 ac e0 7e f2 50 00 02 00 80 25 00 1b 12 be ...~.P....%.... > HCI Event: Inquiry Result with RSSI (0x22) plen 15 0000: 01 ac e0 7e f2 50 00 02 00 80 25 00 1b 12 c1 ...~.P....%.... < HCI Command: Exit Periodic Inquiry Mode (0x01|0x0004) plen 0 > HCI Event: Command Complete (0x0e) plen 4 0000: 01 04 04 00 .... < HCI Command: Create Connection (0x01|0x0005) plen 13 0000: ac e0 7e f2 50 00 18 cc 02 00 00 00 01 ..~.P........ > HCI Event: Command Status (0x0f) plen 4 0000: 00 01 05 04 .... > HCI Event: Connect Complete (0x03) plen 11 0000: 00 26 00 ac e0 7e f2 50 00 01 00 .&...~.P... < HCI Command: Read Remote Supported Features (0x01|0x001b) plen 2 0000: 26 00 &. > HCI Event: Command Status (0x0f) plen 4 0000: 00 01 1b 04 .... > HCI Event: Read Remote Supported Features (0x0b) plen 11 0000: 00 26 00 fc fb 0f 00 00 00 00 00 .&......... > HCI Event: QoS Setup Complete (0x0d) plen 21 0000: 00 26 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 f2 2b 00 .&............+. 0010: 00 ff ff ff ff ..... < HCI Command: Remote Name Request (0x01|0x0019) plen 10 0000: ac e0 7e f2 50 00 02 00 00 00 ..~.P..... > HCI Event: Command Status (0x0f) plen 4 0000: 00 01 19 04 .... < HCI Command: Authentication Requested (0x01|0x0011) plen 2 0000: 26 00 &. > HCI Event: Command Status (0x0f) plen 4 0000: 00 01 11 04 .... > HCI Event: Link Key Request (0x17) plen 6 0000: ac e0 7e f2 50 00 ..~.P. < HCI Command: Link Key Request Negative Reply (0x01|0x000c) plen 6 0000: ac e0 7e f2 50 00 ..~.P. > HCI Event: Command Complete (0x0e) plen 10 0000: 01 0c 04 00 ac e0 7e f2 50 00 ......~.P. > HCI Event: PIN Code Request (0x16) plen 6 0000: ac e0 7e f2 50 00 ..~.P. < HCI Command: PIN Code Request Reply (0x01|0x000d) plen 23 0000: ac e0 7e f2 50 00 04 30 30 30 30 00 00 00 00 00 ..~.P..0000..... 0010: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ....... > HCI Event: Command Complete (0x0e) plen 10 0000: 01 0d 04 00 ac e0 7e f2 50 00 ......~.P. > HCI Event: Remote Name Req Complete (0x07) plen 255 0000: 00 ac e0 7e f2 50 00 4d 69 63 72 6f 73 6f 66 74 ...~.P.Microsoft 0010: 20 4d 6f 75 73 65 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Mouse.......... 0020: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0030: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0040: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0050: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0060: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0070: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0080: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 0090: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00a0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00b0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00c0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00d0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00e0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00f0: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ............... > HCI Event: Auth Complete (0x06) plen 3 0000: 05 26 00 .&. < HCI Command: Disconnect (0x01|0x0006) plen 3 0000: 26 00 13 &.. > HCI Event: Command Status (0x0f) plen 4 0000: 00 01 06 04 .... > HCI Event: Disconn Complete (0x05) plen 4 0000: 00 26 00 16 .&.. When running `bluedevil-wizard` from a terminal, the only error displayed is 'Error response: "Authentication Failed"'. Other input devices, a MS keyboard and a Logitech mouse, work fine.
