Thanks for your response!

Now in both Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10(latest update), the system can detect
the wireless network, but still fail to connect to the Internet, either
say "bad password" in 10.10 or keep asking for password in 10.04.

The solution can find in the below link, but it is too complicated for
normal users.

Bug description:
  When I tried to use USB wireless adapter--Tenda w541u 2.0 in Ubuntu 10.04, 
the system recognized the USB adapter, but it  failed to  detect the wireless 
network. In the ubuntu forums, I saw somebody provided a solution, but it is 
too complicated for me to key in so many command lines.
