I believe the issue is that /tmp files are lost on reboot, which is why they are in the /tmp file. This is more an issue of Firefox choosing to save in /tmp (without using the save as and redirecting to a different folder) than it is feisty or ubuntu. Iirc, it does the same thing in other Os'. I think the package should be firefox. Alfonso you are right that it is a feature, but I believe it is a bad one.
This should be firefox wishlist, in changing the redirect. This could effect Ubuntu in terms how Ubuntu handles firefox files, but I haven't hard of anything changing anytime soon. This bug should be closed. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu Feisty) Sourcepackagename: None => firefox -- if a firefox download is opened in e.g. openoffice, it is saved to /tmp, then deleted by bootclean script https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103428 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
