Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Desktop reverts to no visual effects after visual effects applied. 1. I right-clicked on the desktop which brought up the gnome-appearance-properties window. 2. Under the Visual Effects tab, I selected the Extra option and was prompted to keep or discard settings. 3. I selected Keep Settings and closed the gnome-appearance-properties window. 4. Once again, I right-clicked on the desktop to bring up the gnome-appearance-properties window but noticed that the visual effect selected had reverted to None. The third-party restricted graphics driver is active on my system.
