I can still confirm this bug. I've used both the latest official ubuntu nvidia driver package and the latest one in the X PPA. I've tried Julian's way to 'fix' the issue, but it didn't work at all. Mplayer still isn't faster w/ vdpau than it is with xv output.. I own a Samsung N510 with an nvidia ION LE graphics adapter. The new flash-vdpau acceleration works flawlessly.
