I suspect you may have a different issue, potentially even a hardware or BIOS issue. The sky2 lock-ups are fixed for me and others who reported the problem. Your lock-ups are probably not related to the original bug that was causing everyone else's lock-ups.
You should file a separate support request on Launchpad. I sincerely hope your situation does improve. -Forest ---------------------- Nope, its not that, since I can run bsd with no problem, for networking, and windows xp and vista, with no problems, as well, ONLY with the sky2 driver, take a poll, to see how many are really fix ( without major hacking) not many.. search for sky2, in launch pad, you will see problems all over. My laptop was brand new AMD 64bit gateway back in Feb 2006, again, it has all the extras, and the dreaded broadcomm 43xx wireless driver. in-fact, the only way for me to connect without issues, is using a nswrapper driver, and hacking the 43xx wireless. had no-download issue going wireless.
