Public bug reported: There are some posts about this on the internet but I have not managed to get this to work with the openJDK. I am using Firefox 3.6.13 and have the IcedTea Java plugin 1.9.2 (6b20) installed. I also have the Web Developer plugin (1.1.8) for Firefox. There is an option under Web Developer to open the Java console (Tools | Web Developer | Tools | Java Console) but this appears to do nothing. The short cut sequence (ctrl- shift-O) happens to be the same as that to open bookmarks in Firefox and that's what you get when you press it (I couldn't find a way of disabling that to see if that might help). I need the Java console to see my logging in my Java applet as something is going wrong. Someone suggested in an internet post that starting Firefox from a terminal box would print the console information in the terminal but I saw nothing when I tried.
