Rasmus, Thank you for taking the time to submit this bug, and helping to make Ubuntu better.
"Something about installing ekiga what ever that is :-) " Ekiga is: H.323 and SIP compatible videoconferencing and VoIP/IP-Telephony application that allows you to make audio and video calls to remote users with H.323 hardware or software (such as Microsoft Netmeeting) as well as SIP endpoints. "Got an old amitech pc that's been running ubuntu before:-)" Well if the computer was working fine and you had no trouble, then it is fine. If you try to do and update and get errors you may have to do a clean first. Clean: In a terminal: Applications > Accessories > Terminal type in sudo apt-get clean (Don't do this unless you have errors) I would do a delete on Ekiga completely. Applications > Accessories > Terminal type in: sudo apt-get --purge remove ekiga (small case) This will delete conf and all files including the /var/cache/apt/archives/ekiga * file for you. Cause it didn't install right, and it might be the downloaded file. If you want after this install it back. sudo apt-get install ekiga or System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager in search box type ekiga and install. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/690797 Title: package update-manager 1:0.87.24 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: SystemError in cache.commit(): E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
