The Unity bar and panel have returned for me, although there seems to be another side affect.
Intermittently the menus in both the panel and in applications (eg. firefox) do not display. The menus are active as I can blindly select items on the menu, I just cant see the menu rendered on the screen. Sometimes the menus comes back after clicking around on the menus.
