I took the liberty of updating the description. I could confirm this
with any URL followed by dots. The dots are not properly split. I'm not
sure if the developers will think that's a problem because URL are
supposed to be delimited by spaces (no dots or any other character that
could be part of a URL). But it's not my call and since twitter seems to
handle them...

I could confirm this both in Maverick (32bits) and in Lucid(64bits).
Maverick: Linux 2.6.35.23-generic i686 Gwibber: 2.32.2.-0ubuntu2
Lucid: Linux 2.6.32-26-generic x86_64 Gwibber: 2.30.3-0ubuntu1
