This can be fixed in userspace by unbinding and then re-binding the
i8042 driver.  This issue is also apparently fixed in 2.6.21 upstream,
so it'd probably be cleaner to pull the commit from there if it can be
found.

If it can't be fixed in the kernel, I'll do it in 'acpi-support'.
