I have a CUPS server where printer sharing to other Linux clients and a
Mac OS X client works.
>From the relevant line two are differing between my cupsd.conf and your
cupsd.conf as shown in the linked forum thread. So can you please do the
following:
Run the command
cupsctl BrowseRemoteProtocols='cups dnssd'
Does printer sharing now work? If not, run
cupsctl BrowseAllow='@LOCAL'
and if you have still problems then, run
cupsctl BrowseAllow=all
Check also whether the clients are set to listen for broadcasts.
Ubuntu does not set up personal firewalls by default, but iof you have
such a firewall on one or more of your machines, try to turn them off.
