Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 10.10 i386. After recent security upgrade last week (dozens of
packages involved), the numerical part of keyboard dosen't work in X. It
works just in login screen, then stops working after logging in.

Only two keys work as expected - NumLock switches LED on and off
(however does not affect the functionality), and ENTER is fully
operational.

Since I realized that other keys affect mouse movements, I've become
suspicious about mouse-over-keyboard function, and I found it switched
on. So this is a workaround - go to preferences - keyboard and switch
the mouse-over-keyboard off.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
