I think I'm afflicted as well on two machines: one is the vaio laptop I'm writing from.
Please notice that one o the 3 usb ports of the laptop works. I have another identical laptop where the bug does not show (using the 2.6.32 kernel from lucid). On the other machine (an assembled one) the problem affects an external LACIE disk. Please note that when I connect the LACIE with the both the usb cables provided (optional_power + data), I can make it work under 2.6.35. Under 2.6.32 I don't need to connect the power usb cable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/644782 Title: Ubuntu 10.10: Cannot enable usb port for internal device - webcam -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
