In compose Message, I set the Options/Character Encoding as "Japanese(ISO-2022-JP)" and wrote the message. When 「~」(UTF8 code E3809C) is used there(message body), the message is sent as EUC-JP. It is written euc-jp in Content-type: in the message header. This E-mail cannot be displayed with iPhone. This problem doesn't appear when set Options/Character Encoding as "Unicode(UTF-8)" Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10 evolution 2.30.3-1ubuntu7.1 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: evolution 2.30.3-1ubuntu7.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-23.41-generic-pae 2.6.35.7 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-23-generic-pae i686 Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Dec 22 11:43:29 2010 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evolution InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release i386 (20101007) ProcEnviron: LANG=ja_JP.utf8 SHELL=/usr/bin/tcsh SourcePackage: evolution ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 maverick -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/693262 Title: evolution change that Content-Type doesn't intend -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
