Public bug reported: FUJITSU FMVMGD75P has brightness up/down key as Fn+F7/Fn+F6. When pressing the keys, brightness plus/minus 2 values. e.g. the value of /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness changes from 0 to 2 (skipping 1).
With /lib/udev/keymap, brightness up/down key press events are reported by 2 input devices (input/event4 and 5) at the same time. According from the page below, it should only send the event on one device. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Hotkeys/Troubleshooting#Step-by-step%20Troubleshooting $ sudo /lib/udev/keymap -i input/event4 Press ESC to finish scan code: 0x00 key code: brightnessdown $ sudo /lib/udev/keymap -i input/event5 Press ESC to finish scan code: 0x00 key code: brightnessdown also reproducible with mainline kernel below http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/daily/2010-12-20-natty/ ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: linux-image-2.6.37-10-generic 2.6.37-10.24 Regression: No Reproducible: Yes ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.37-10.24-generic 2.6.37-rc6 Uname: Linux 2.6.37-10-generic i686 AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.23.
