Hello, I have also experienced this issue. Now it's a 100% reproduce on my configuration.
I'm using 10.10 on a MSI WIND U100 Same reproduces as above, window won't open whether i double click, right click> chat or press enter. Other protocols are going fine. I've been first testing on the standard repositories. Then added the proposed. No empathy update was in it. I still updated with the proposed packages. No improvements, the issue is still here.
