gero, I might have been wrong about the patch being in Natty, then. The LavaLit SVN error goes away (at least for me) when I apply the patch. Could you try applying the patch to the Maverick neon27 sources and see if the issue persists?
After saying I'd reopen this bug, I realized that Launchpad won't even let me change the status of the bug for neon27.
