Since the problem is apparently re-sampling related, I decided to give the following a go:
Keep the 'resample-method' at 'speex-float-1', and changing the line ; default-sample-rate = 44100 into default-sample-rate = 48000 Forcing pa to use a 48k resampling rate. To my amazement this works. This should result in an higher cpu usage when playing music with a 44k1 sample rate, but video playback is possible again using gstreamer. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496616 Title: Mediaplayer crashed with "pa_stream_writable_size() failed: Connection terminated" -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
