"As of Vuze version 4.4, there is a legitimate paid edition of the client, called Vuze Plus." I think is mandatory to test the latest version. I'm testing the latest CVS version for 4 days now and I couldn't see if the popup is still present or if it has improved its interface. I'll continue testing it. But until we have confirmation the issue is still present in the lastest version I think this bug should be set to Incomplete. Also, I made a sync request in Debian that can solve this issue if it's corrected in Vuze lastest release: http://bugs.debian.org /cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=607742 I'm not agree that it's a scam, you can always close the window, say "No thanks" or even minimize it and continue working. When there was a bug that make that popup show itself very often I could be agree it was very annoying. But right now I can't even see it for 4 days in a row. If it's still present, and if it doesnt present a clear way to cease showing itself once for all... I think we must make an upstream request. But for that, we must test it in the lastest release. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #607742 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=607742 ** Changed in: azureus (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/434979 Title: vuze just asked me for money -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
