I'm sorry for double posting. Can't see any edit button here :) I can confirm that the solution from The Mike is working on 10.10 as well. Personally I had to adjust the volume to the lowest to avoid distorted sound. This may be because I have edited allot of config in my long virtual trip to fix my internal microphone!
