** Description changed: This is with Xubuntu 10.04 on my deskop PC. If the zoom window is manually made much bigger the controls appear. I have Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop but in that case there is no problem with the OpenOffice Writer zoom window. xfce 4.6.1 OpenOffice 3.2.0 build 9483 + + WORKAROUND: + Toggling the shade/unshade function for the zoom dialog fixes it but this has to be done every time it is used.
