I did suggest this in a bug report #685225. That concerned gir1.0-mutter-2.31 package. Anyway, it seems only gnome-shell depends on gir1.2-mutter-2.91 and gnome-shell is dropped for now. There is no package depending on gir1.2-mutter-2.31, however. Funny, one can still find the old gnome-shell_2.31.5 in the official repos with a bunch of broken dependencies.
