This is not fixed it seems. i was able to get 2.6.37-12 to boot 2 times
but that is it. i am going to attach dmes files maybe that will help
give you an idea on what is going on.

when i boot up choosing either kernel -10 or -11 i get past Plymouth
than i get a purple line on the top of the screen, from that point i am
unable to enter a TTY. i let it sit for over 5 minutes and get nothing.
here is information on my system. apport does not see the 3.6.37-6 as a
genuine Ubuntu package.
