I've been experiencing the same problem with linux-restricted-modules with Feisty Fawn beta. I do have the linux-restricted-modules-common metapackage installed, but it never autoupgrades after a kernel update. Since I need linux-restricted-modules for my Intel 3945 wireless chipset, this means I have to find a hard-wire internet connection every time the kernel updates in order to get linux-restricted-modules updated so that wireless will work again.
