Hi all, Just wanted to add that I experience the same problems on Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick). Unity is really unresponsive. I already ran top sorted by cpu and memory but there was no indication that the machine was busy. The problem must be in Unity because all other programs are responsive as it was with the Gnome desktop.
