This bug is affecting me on Maverick.  On first access, the icons in
Files & Folders and Applications do not appear.  I have to access them
at least twice before I eventually see the icons.  I tried
'CLUTTER_VBLANK=none mutter --replace', but that simply removed my
window decorations causing me to reboot.  I then tried 'sudo echo
"CLUTTER_VBLANK=none" >> /etc/X11/Xsession.d/10unity-quirks', but this
had no affect so I reverted.  As for the test program, I don't know what
to do with that.
