Sorry guys, I have a 7 Ubuntu versions installed on that computer and I just needed to do a update-grub on the main Ubuntu installation to be able to boot into the correct kernel on Maverick. I didn't noticed that I was still booting into the old kernel. Anyway, I'm happy to report that using the 2.6.35-25-generic #43-Ubuntu the microphones and the headsets work as expected.
