I found this thread during a Google search. I have a windows 7 CF-F8 with same issue. I just finished talking to our (former) laptop support guy who states this is an issue going back a few years with Toughbooks. We worked with Panasonic & sent our standard image back to them to troubleshoot. After lots of going back & forth, the bug kept popping up & by the time he left the laptop support group they still had to reimage to fix. ...so, this is not a UBUNTU specific issue.
