Public bug reported: I'm using Kubuntu 10.10 i386 and an nVidia GeForce 9500 GT with proprietary drivers. After upgrading to 2.6.35-25 (mesa?) graphics are broken. With this I mean:
1) When booting normally, it stucks at the boot logo, long before kdm. 2) When booting in recovery mode, I can see few lines of the kernel starting up which stuck and, later, a few green artifacts on the screen above the kernel lines. It's very similar to bug #703553 , but I can't access the tty shell both by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F1 and by entering recovery mode, making it impossibile for me to install nvidia proprietary drivers against this kernel and, obviously, using my pc as normal. 2.6.35-24 is the latest working release. $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available.
