Caysho, although it shouldnt be the case I think this is partly an issue with the way UNetbootin deals with the Ubuntu ISO as I tested this with a USB stick made from the Ubuntu USB Startup Disk Creator. I know you have already installed it now but if you have a chance could you test with a disk made from within ubuntu? Cheers!
