Hi i have an Acer Aspire 6930 with an Atheros wireless card. Ubuntu 10.10 kernel 2.6.35-24-generic
And I have the same problem so I don't think is just a Vaio problem I guess is more like ubuntu one because a friend of mine has the same bug and he owns a netbook HP.
