Further Info: 1 After being recommended to do a Terminal “laptop-detect -v”, the response came back “Laptop not detected” although it is a ThinkPad X31; 2 Issue was noticed on kernel 2.6.32-21-generic through 2.6.32-28-generic. May have occurred on an earlier kernel.
