And just to document the workaround for sticky keys here: hitting Alt twice dismisses the file menu, and locks Alt for sticky keys (until Alt is pressed a third time), so to switch windows you can do Alt-Alt-Tab- Alt (in that order) to achieve the same effect as Alt-Tab.
