Just a "me too" post here, as that would be really useful to backup one's photos to optical media.
I would like to add that the "Burn to CD/DVD" option would be even more useful than just a plain burning if it exported the photos in a directory structure by event. That is, it would be more useful if, for the selected photos, see the event to which it belongs to, create that directory in the optical media and put the photo in that directory. That would really rock and it would be a very nice way to send a DVD with pictures to my parents so that they can treat the DVD as a "photo album" in their DVD player. For bonus points, it may be of interest to those that use some of Apple's utilities (like iPhoto) if the burnt medium had their "common" xml file listing the photos that are on the DVD---this serves as an index to avoid having to scan all the photos to know their metadata. I think that I may have some Perl script to generate one of these, if that's desired. This feature of burning to CD/DVD, especially if it respects the events set by the user, would really rock. And also provide a way to make backups of the photos, as it is currently not apparent how to make a backup of one's pictures. (If anybody know, please, say it).
