Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: software-center

In Maverick, searching the software center turned up Ardour. It's not
listed in there as of up-to-date Natty. apt-cache show still reveals it,

cornwall@cornwall-laptop2:~$ apt-cache search ardour
ardour - digital audio workstation (graphical gtk2 interface)
