Logitech DiNovo Edge
Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)
AMD 890 FX chipset
Ubuntu 10.10 (fresh install)

Performed some random "fixes" from around the Internet and none worked.
Unfortunately I don't remember what were done and which were not changed
back.

I do recall that once I installed bluez 4.69 it worked. Very rarely
would I have to unplug the dongle and re-plug to get it to work. One
day last week it just stopped working entirely.

I then performed the bluez 4.84 fix listed above. The keyboard started
working, but when I did not type for 2 minutes it would lose the
connection and bluez would not allow me to reconnect. It would say the
keyboard was there, but it would always hang.

Then:
sudo apt-get purge bluez
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get install gnome-bluetooth bluez
-reboot-
-working again-

dpkg -l | grep bluez shows that all bluez packages are 4.69-0ubuntu2.

I have it working for now. I hope this information is useful.
