Also affects me. Please let me know if there is any debug information I
can collect to track this down. It has been happening at least since
Lucid, maybe earlier.

The behavior I see is as follows:

1) suspend
2) resume
3) often (I think only when running on battery), but this may not be true, I
haven't done any direct testing, the mouse and keyboard are responsive for a
few seconds, then get very sluggish. Moving the mouse doesn't work for a bit
(5-10 seconds), or is slow and jerky if it does respond.
4) after a small amount of time, normal operation resumes

My thought was that something that had been swapped out to disk to make
room for the resume image needed to get pulled back in for resume, but
this seems somewhat counter-intuitive. There was another bug about
evdev (#346310, something about EvdevReopenTimer()), maybe that's it?

Nothing shows up in dmesg, I wonder what is the best approach for
finding out more about this. It seems I'd need to start some logging
collection before the suspend and hope it continues after the resume,
but obviously if the keyboard and mouse don't respond, it's hard to trap
the exact error in gdb or somesuch. Maybe there's a way to run X under
valgrind? Please advise.
