The question is: is there a good reason why likewise-open conflict with
winbind?  Scott Salley's branch fix this bug, so I presume not.  But
still, the question is worth investigating.

Going further: is there a good reason why wine recommend winbind at all?
I just don't see the connection.  Merely using Windows software on
Ubuntu does not mean you want to participate in a Windows domain.  This
is being discussed in bug #302148, hopefully it can get fixed there.
