Public bug reported: Binary package hint: powernap
Currently Powernap just checks to see if a particular process has been run within a defined period of time but lots of processes still show when they're not actually doing anything useful eg. Samba, media serving tools etc and thus powernap never puts the system to sleep when it could. Ideally powernap would check to see if a process is active within a time period before reseting the counter. Thanks for considering this RFE. ** Affects: powernap (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/715689 Title: RFE: Processes should be monitored for activity not just presence -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
