** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: network-manager

When I connect to a pptp VPN Via the Network Manager menu I can see that
the connection is in progress from the Network Manager icon (wave icon
over the arrows) , and I can see that the connection is up when the
Network icon gets the small lock.

But there is no notification message that inform the user that the
- connection is up (like the one when the wired network connection is
- established).
+ connection is up, (like the one when the wired network connection is
+ established) but if the connection is dropped for some reason the
+ notification came out.

Question on AskUbuntu (with an hack that worked for me):
  http://askubuntu.com/q/24604/8770

(I'v tested this only on 10.04)
