I can't reproduce this easily just now as I only have a Thinkpad laptop screen, and a separate issue with the mapping of Numlock prevents entering a keypad-5 (five). Is the shifting horizontally, or vertically. I've seen issues vertically repeated to other WM placement, which I think is down to the difference in size between the window with pre-post the transition between local menu and global menu.
