I see this as well. I have a two NICs, one static, the other dhcp (with some additional lines in /etc/network/interfaces, to run iptables commands after the dhcp NIC comes up).
It all seems to work OK, but nm-applet keeps vacillating between saying everything is fine, to "no network". I sure wish there was some supported way to just disable NM on this machine. I love NM on my laptop with a single NIC, but it's superfluous, and just gets in the way on my desktop machine that is dual-homed. -- network connection applet (upper right) does not display correct status https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105578 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
