Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: amarok

Once amarok is opened, (either directly or from sound preferences), while it
can be controlled fine from sound preferences, when you exit amarok it remains
'active' in sound preferences.
At this point it can no longer be opened again from preferences, only a
logout/in will clear it

Noting that amarok does close properly, no running process, it just never
clears it's active state in sound preferences
The backend used makes no difference
