I haven't even attempted to install Gnome3 (I heard it's incompatible with Unity). How do you want me to swear? :)
Anyhow, looking at the stuff I did install I found dconf-tools and libcanberra-gtk3 packages and they depend on libgtk3. Can those be causing the problem? P.S.
