I've seen dbus-daemon run amok on several occasions. I have nebomuk disabled, but I've seen these running anyway: /usr/bin/nepomukserver /usr/bin/akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder --identifier akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder
On one occasion, killing these brought the CPU back down to normal On another occasion, it didn't. Logging out and back in always corrects it. I am running Kubuntu Maverick 64-bit on a quad-core CPU -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/680444 Title: dbus-daemon eats 100% cpu and is not responsive -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
