Binary package hint: simple-scan
After clicking to start scanning, the scanner starts, it scans to some
length, then stops abruptly. Sometimes it stops scanning somewhere in
the middle of the page, other times it goes correctly to the end of the
page - it seems to be random.
By "middle" I don't mean exactly 50% of the height - it can be anywhere
between the top and bottom of the range.
I'll add that scanning in XSane Image Scanner works correctly every
time.
I have HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP, running on Ubuntu 10.10. The same
bug was also present in Ubuntu 10.04.
